I hired Atousa and her team to get me out of an extremely sticky situation with my ex. I had already filed for divorce on my own and was failing miserably at getting the courts to move it forward when my ex was unwilling to respond to it. I can't begin how everything happens for a reason. I contacted Atousa's office in late 2020 and made a mistake to hire someone else that just didn't care and did the minimal paperwork but charged me almost 20k for what I've could have done on my own by checking boxes. Late 2021 I got hit with a lot of BS that was soon found by the court to be perjury and my child's father and party was sanctioned. Atousa and Hailey made this happen! My sister kept on telling me I see something about Atousa and why she keeps popping up in our search to find the right attorney. I first spoke to Hailey and she was nothing but honest. Unfortunately after that call I got served with more nonsense lies, and Hailey and Atousa rearranged their schedule to represent me. Since then these amazing ladies have stood behind me, never have I felt they would abandon me like other blood thirsty drama feeding family attorneys. Where do I start? My family and I were going through one of the most stressful, unknown, anxiety driven periods of our life and we were lost. My ex wife, who was having a serious mental health episode, disappeared out of state with our son. No papers were filed with the court. The police would not help. Ms. Saei saved my family… and I’m not even her client.
So, a few months ago, my cousin called me looking for a divorce lawyer after coming to terms (it took a long time to come to this!!) that she needs to get a divorce. She had been going through a lot of back and forth with her estranged husband, had actually gone to another lawyer for representation and was getting shafted not only because her current lawyer wasn’t being aggressive enough but that he was asking for more money to do his job. She is a full-time working mother of a 2-year-old that her husband wasn’t supporting and this guy who is supposed to have her back was actually a limp noodle trying to make money for basic work! That isn’t right.

Very happy. Very pleased. The reviews describe Atousa and her firm perfectly. I found her on Yelp. Her assistant Ana quickly set an appointment for me to meet with Atousa. I was getting nasty emails from the opposing counsel and his threats had me terrified. I was still interviewing attorneys and Atousa was on my list. After all, the attorney I was going to hire was going to become so entangled in my life it had to be someone that I would literally trust with my children and family. After ten minutes of meeting with Atousa I immediately felt better. She actually laughed at the opposing counsel and said “don’t worry, this guy is out of his mind. He cannot legally do the things he is threatening.” She was honest. She told me what my weaknesses were and what I needed to change to fix those weaknesses and she also told me what my strengths were. Before our meeting was over she had come up with a full plan of execution. She is smart. Her mind works quickly and she communicates well. I don’t know what it was- she made me feel protected. WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!!!
Before moving over to Atousa, I spent over 5 months with my first attorney that instead of pro-actively creating my Paternity case, was constantly in reaction to Opposing Council driving the case.
I finally decided to upgrade from that first attorney, researched online and found 5 highly rated attorneys that specialized in Family Law. I called them all and 3 of them were quick to respond, and super impressive on the phone. So I set appointments with them all. Atousa being one of them.
The other 2 attorneys were extremely impressive, but Atousa was so many levels above them. She completely blew them away! She was so impressive during our meeting and we came up with a ‘pro-active’ strategy that would completely put us in the driver’s seat for my case.
I was sold and Atousa took over and immediately. Within a few days the tides of my case had turned and within a few weeks we were in a meeting with Opposing Council to settle the case.
Lesson learned: first attorney had cheaper hourly rate, but his inability to drive my case cost me so much more time, stress and money than if I would have gone with Atousa from the very beginning. Final divorce signed this week, to my great relief. If there is happiness in divorcing someone, this is it: I am free and don’t have to pay spousal support to my cheating, unemployed, alcoholic husband of 8 years.
How terrifying is to learn, after so many years of marriage of bizarre and unfair marital laws in California. I wanted to leave the marriage and the man who obviously loved himself and alcohol more that he cared for me. But he did not want an amicable divorce,and I was faced with having to split my business that I have built with my sweat and blood, and pay support to someone that financially and emotionally abused me for pretty much the whole duration of the marriage.
Last drop was the incident of violence, when he got arrested and extracted from home. He hired and attorney and turned tables on me, stating that I were a violent alcoholic, that I regularly beat him and physically abused him, that I also financially abused him (keeping him in some kind of slavery), that I did not encouraged him to work, that he did not attack me and that he got arrested wrongfully, he hid the funds we have had as our retirement in other country and lastly, he produced a live witness who were to testify that I am a violent person. The witness was his drinking buddy, a young and buff personal trainer who has black belt in martial art. He claimed that I held him in a headlock during the dinner party a year ago.
Along with these gross claims, my ex husbands outlandish financial requests : he wanted 10K a month for spousal support for 4 years, 50K ‘right now’ for forensic accounting (as if I am Chevron ?), his attorney fees and 1/5 my business (I am an one woman small business). Reading this was probably the worst realization in my life. He is insane, become an enemy and now I am being persecuted.
When he got arrested, police officers told me to file restraining order which I did, because I did not want him to come back home. Long story short, his attorney filed restraining order against ME 20 days later (one day before hearing). I did not have an attorney, still thinking that he will realize how impossible is for us to be married any longer and he will cooperate.
Looking back, I think of working with Atousa as working with Olivia Pope or detective Benson, as the things get HANDLED. From the moment she saw details of my case, all that she predicted would happen, happened. Her knowledge of Law and intuition and genuinely friendly approach were so and are to this comforting in this hard moment of my life. She gave me a list to do, so prepare to work on your case. Because I was involved in procuring evidence, Atousa was able to catch on things that won my case, but I would never think of them as important. But they were. So do your best to cooperate and dig in deep in all the information, regardless how painful and gross they might be. I have collected a year worth of videos of my ex husband doing and saying various things. Just make sure that they know they are videotaped, because it is illegal to videotape people without their permission, and such evidence is not allowed in Divorce Court (another appalling fact, only Criminal Court will accept such evidence). Her team is nothing but professional, polite, cherry picked group of professionals that get things done and respond on time.
I probably mentioned that originally I got referrals to several reputable Divorce Attorneys. Now, after my own experience with Atousa, I have learned that some of the attorneys charge 800/hr and almost all ended up transferring clients to less experienced or plain associates, not having a strong grip on the case and not being good at communicating regarding client’s inquiries. You can imagine how many scary questions go through your head during the divorce.
I am so thankful that I listened to my gut feeling and went along with Atousa. Divorce is very painful and expensive process and she made it into triumph of some sort, because I was able to free myself off the sick person that leached on me and my reputation was restored. All the insane claims were proven to be lies (perjury in Divorce Court in CA, is sadly expected, not punishable as it should be) and the opposing party settled before trial. Thank you for reading, this is very therapeutic, and I encourage you to have a divorce if you came to this point.

For over a year, my spouse and her attorney have been dragging out my divorce, costing me time, money and grief. Atousa agreed to take on my divorce case seven months ago. Today, in court, she was able to show the judge that my former spouse’s efforts to prolong the case was costing me money. She also was able to show that my spouse was understating her income and overstating her expenses During the hearing, she did not allow my spouse’s lawyer to make baseless claims about my income, but strongly and successfully objected to each and every one of the assertions in that regard. At the end of the day, Ms. Saei was able to get my spouse to pay me spousal support, allow me keep my vehicles, and got me very low non-retroactive child support. Ms. Saei is highly knowledgeable in family/divorce law; very articulate, and was very aggressive when representing me. She had a great command of the law and facts. She was genuinely concerned about me and my financial situation. She made every effort to resolve the matter a.s.a.p. keeping my best interests in mind. Atousa represented me in my move-away from California to the Eastt coast in 2009. I was being railroaded by opposing counsel. As a pro se litigant, I was absolutely lost and desperately needed help. I contacted her soon after the move and merely made mention of my legal issues. She asked that I send her everything ASAP so she could review my case. She was under the gun with several other clients, but was able to squeeze my court date appearance in at the last minute with little time to prepare all of our responses, but pulled it off, nonetheless.
Needless to say, I left that day with the judge granting me a 3000-mile move-away order, which Atousa herself said she had not seen before. (Keep in mind that Halle Berry was denied her move away!) It is my understanding that being granted a move-away order is no small feat, and inherently delicate in nature. She presented my case before the judge in such a fashion that he granted me the order I requested, pending a full custody evaluation, to which was found in my favor.
The most impressive part was the manner in which she conducted herself during trial. Atousa was respectful, but firm with opposing counsel. Atousa was firm but fair, understanding but realistic in her advice and suggestion to me, and most importantly, encouraged and offered healthy and productive co-parenting ideas. Her suggestions were proof of her concern for not only the best interests of the children, but for helping me keep my sanity and promoting effective co-parenting. Moreover, her knowledge of the law is unparalleled. She definitely knows what she is doing, and it shows.

This girl rocked the courthouse! She made two special appearances for me on an emergency basis on my divorce case. She stepped in last minute, took over the case and came to court for two full days.
